The ideal candidate must have recent experience in OON and have their CPC certification.
Requirements of the Medical Biller:
Bachelor's Degree CPC certified At least 2 years of medical billing experience Must have experience billing for neuro, ortho, spine cases Benefits of the Medical Biller:
Full time, Monday through Friday Competitive salary, based on experience Full suite of benefits Responsibilities of the Medical Biller:
Be able to read and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from Insurance carriers Experience with obtaining initial status of medical claims by calling insurance carriers and/or checking online web portals Experience with subsequent follow up via phone/online web portals to obtain payment and or denial reasons.
Experience working their assigned A/R and task lists.
Experience with resolving denials and getting insurance carriers to reprocess incorrect denials for payment.
Experience contacting patients regarding insurance checks that were sent to patients.
Experience with writing appeals and following up with insurances for appeal status.
